Valspar Champs: Round Two

Good evening everyone, I'm Howard Crossland, with you for the next couple of hours for round 2 of the Valspar Championship.

In today's big news so far, Tiger Woods has answered the call of Phil Mickelson, storming the course with a steel chair to save him from the beatdown by Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas, and pointing to the Masters sign high up in the sky. They'll face off in a in a clash of generations tag team match at Augusta, the grandest stage of them all.

Back in Valsparville, overnight leader Corey Conners is 3 under for his round after 9, and leads by 2 on -7. Chasing pack is Kelly Kraft on -5, with Casey, Sneds, Palmer and TIGER on -4.

Cut line expected to be around +2, and Matt Kuchar moves off that mark with a birdie at 12. "Always has a smile on his face". Damn, that's quite the start to the drinking game and we've only been going 5 minutes.

Sergio, -2, tee shot at 13. Goes through the back and rolls beyond the fringe.

Here's your leader, Corey Conners. Touch of a young Paul Lawrie about him...

Garcia struggling at 13 having missed the green, he will drop a shot and go back to -1.

Justin Rose now, on -2 at 14. 3rd shot on the par 5, and he hits it thin and doesn't get it up over the fringe.

Kuchar with another birdie at 13, to go level. Accompanied by his customary chant, which the commentator points out to us is not actually booing.... Bloody hell, that means we'll have to see off the second pint, but rules are rules. May I remind you all to enjoy ByTheMinute responsibly.

McIlroy birdies 14 and sits on +4. He'll need another two to make the cut.
