Moto GP 2: Qatar

Moto GP

Welcome back everyone to our coverage of the Qatar GP Weekend. It's now time for Moto2 where we have Danny Kent back for another shot at staying in Moto2 on the Speed Up. We also have Sam Lowes who is back in Moto2 after getting kicked out of Aprillia in the Premier Class.

On the grid we have Alex Marquez in Pole Position! The Spanish rider is doing amazing on his Marc VDS! Baldassarri the new brilliant Moto2 rider from Italy is in 2nd place and will be looking for a win. My favourite Italian in Moto2 Bagnaia is in 3rd place with a brilliant time. Watch out for Hotshot Frenchmen Oliveria in 4th and new Moto2 rider Fenati in 5th.

Danny Kent on the Speed Up is all the way up in 6th which is brilliant compared to how he's done in previous attempts to truely join Moto2. Sam Lowes is in 10th place which may not be the best for him but considering he's just come back from MotoGP Premier class but it's a very good start.

If you want the full grid here is it. Look at it quickly as the warmup lap is about to begin.

As dusk falls apon the Losail International Circuit the Moto2 bikes come to the grid. The Red light goes on... and OUT! GO GO GO! THE MOTO2 QATAR GP IS UNDERWAY!!!

Leading into turn 1 is Bagnaia on the VR46 bike! Baldassari follows with Marquez right behind

Bagnaia is doing incredibly well holding the lead and onto the home straight! 19 laps to go! The bigger Moto2 bikes doesn't get as much help from slipstream as the Moto3 bikes. So people don't pass on the home straight anywhere near as much.

Bagnaia leads followed by Baldassari and Marquez still. Schrotter is in 4th with Pasini in 5th. Brad Binder is doing well in 6th but the brits Kent and Lowes aren't in 14th and 17th.

Bagnaia has pulled away and now has a second gap to Baldassari. Marquez is still behind them by half a second.
