Evening all! An exciting early(ish) round tie coming up in Miami as Juan Martin Del Potro takes on Kei Nishikori in the 3rd round. It's Hannah here with the live updates, Venus Williams and Kiki Bertens are slogging it out in a deciding set right now so we're looking at getting underway some time in the next half hour. Plenty of time to get settled!

With Federer falling in a surprise loss to Kokkinakis last night the Miami men's draw is wide open, and no player in the draw is in a richer vein of form than Juan Martin Del Potro. Tennis' friendliest giant is currently on a 12 match winning streak and is going in search of the Sunshine Double after lifting the Indian Wells trophy last week.

On the other side of the net, Kei Nishikori is currently feeling his way back into tour level tennis having skipped the first few tournaments of the year to focus on his rehabilitation. Nishikori has been blighted by injury the last few years, something Del Potro knows about all too well, but at his best he's a wonderful player to watch, so here's hoping he can get back to that level this year.

Nishikori is currently ranked 33rd and seeded 22nd here in Miami, whilst Del Potro has finally made his way back into the top 8, ranked 6th and seeded 5th here. This is the pair's 8th meeting, Del Potro leads 5-2 but Nishikori has taken the win in their previous two encounters. Form and fitness puts Del Potro as the strong favourite going into this one, but don't count Kei out!

Really looking forward to this one!

Me too! Two of my favourite players to watch!

Venus has just come back from a set down to beat Kiki Bertens in a nail-biter, so hopefully the players will be on court in the next 10 minutes or so.

We have players! And live pictures! Just the last few minutes of the warm up and we'll be ready to go... Nishikori to serve.

Quick 40-0 lead for Nishikori as Delpo can't get the ball back in play. And it's a hold to love to start, nice move into the net from Nishikori and a tidy volley to finish. 1-0* first set.

Nishikori with an early challenge on a long return...it was out, 15-0. Del Potro jumps onto a return left short by Nishikori for a forehand winner, 30-15. Oh nice stuff! Airy forehand to one corner, then out wide for a down the line winner. 30-30. Weak forehand from Delpo, he nets and it's BREAK POINT NISHIKORI...

SAVED. Good time for a first ace. Great rally! Nishikori covering both sides but one Delpo forehand is too much for him and forces the error. AD, and Delpo comes in to put away a forehand winner for the hold. 1-1.

Tidy move into the net from Nishikori, deep volley to the baseline, 15-0. Ohhhh, Nishikori finds a lovely angle on a short forehand, but on his next shot he goes for a drop-shot from the baseline and comes up well short. 15-15. Few return errors from Del Potro, Nishikori holds to 15, 2-1* first set.
