Good afternoon and welcome to coverage of the second match in the IPL double header today between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. I'm Mel (@MissMelanie_H). In the earlier match, Kings XI Punjab beat the Dehli Daredevils by 6 wickets with KL Rahul scoring the fastest IPL 50 (16 balls) and Nair also getting a 50.

TOSS: KKR win the toss and elect to bowl first at Eden Gardens.

RCB: Quinton de Kock, Brendon McCullum, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Sarfaraz Khan, Mandeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Chris Woakes, Kulwant Kherjroliya, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal

KKR: Chris Lynn, Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Piyush Chawla, Vinay Kumar, Mitchell Johnson, Kuldeep Yadav

There is a LOT of fire power in those top four for RCB... Quinton de Kock and Brendon McCullum are out in the middle to face Vinay Kumar.

RCB 14/0 (1) McCullum takes the first ball and it runs away for a boundary. The next ball is blocked - BORING! Make that two dot balls in a row. Top edge but it flies over the rope for a 6! The over ends with another four.

WICKET! RCB 18/1 (1.4) Piyush Chawla takes the second over and is greeted with a first ball four from de Kock. He sweeps the third ball of the over but cannot get it far enough to get a run. He then sweeps again and this time it falls into Vinay Kumar's hands.

RCB 21/1 (2) New man to the crease is Virat Kohli. He is away first ball but can only run two. McCullum has also now reached 9000 T20 runs so Cricinfo on twitter tells me.

RCB 28/1 (3) Kudleep Yadav replaces Vinay Kumar and Kohli takes a quick single to start the over. McCullum follows suit. A leading edge for McCullum but the fielder cannot get there. They run through for a single. A good stop at the boundary saves two runs.

RCB 34/1 (4), McCullum 21*, Kohli 9* Chawla gets a second over... it looked to be a tidy over until I started to type and McCullum gets it into the gap for four.
