The Masters: Final Round

Third of Reed at eight. 100 yards or so to go. And it’s another nice one, birdie putt uphill left, a few feet.

Oooooh, close! McIlroy nearly chips in at eight, but it’s gone a way past. Poor putt from Spieth at 11. Reed for birdie at eight...nope, never on line. Slides by on the right, but it’s a tap in par.

Bogey for McIlroy! He’s back to -10, and that’s a four shot lead for Reed. Lovely second from Fowler at nine, should be birdie.

Spieth at 12, which is always a cue for a ‘Jordan and water’ montage. He hits one to the back of the green, and gives it the full arms up, high five. Rather amusing, good on him. Last group at nine. Reed goes right, just into the first cut. Better from Rory, fairway and long.

Fowler birdies nine, and he joins the gang at -10. Four of them at that mark at the moment. HOLE IN ONE!!! Charley Hoffman at 16! Looked like it got a lucky bounce, but who cares!

One less at -10 now, as Jordan Spieth birdies 12! He’s at -11, three behind Reed. Speaking of Reed. Finds the green at nine, but it’s the slope and it rolls off the green. Chance for McIlroy, perhaps. Here’s Rory - very nice, behind the flag and a chance.

Spieth finds pine needles with his drive at 13, could make second tricky. Rahm and Fowler well away at 10. Back to Reed from behind the green at nine...Thought he’d overcooked that, but ball runs back towards the flag after shooting past, and he may escape with par.

McIlroy for birdie. Nope, chance missed, and it’s pars all round there. To the back nine then, and Reed still has that three shot lead.

Rahm and Fowler, both sporting orange (but, slightly jarringly, not the same orange) find the green at 10.
