Evening All - Stephen Clark (@clarkyboy72) here with all the action from the Oche in Manchester as Michael Van Gerwen looks to wrap up a 6th consecutive Premier League regular season title.

3 weeks until the play-offs and although the Top 4 look to be set, there are still opportunities for those on the outside looking in to still make an impression and make it through to Finals night.

First match up tonight sees Michael Smith take on Peter Wright. They are both outside the Top 4 at the minute so this could be Goodnight Vienna for the loser. Smith is already on the stage and here comes Snakebite, with a Manchester Bee painted on the side of his head for the night.

Had a sneaky bet on Smith for Next Years World Championship at 40-1, so will be looking for him to push on. Wright, looking pretty in Pink, has dipped of late, but at least hasn't changed his darts this week.

Nice start from Smith with 5 treble 20's to kick things off. Misses with the 6th but takes the leg in 12 darts and breaks the throw. WRIGHT 0 SMITH 1

Smith looking good early on and hits double 12 at the first time of asking for a 13 dart leg. WRIGHT 0 SMITH 2

Snakebite is toothless at the moment as Smith continues to hit trebles with great regularity. However a 137 gives him a chance to take out 42 but he misses two darts at X16 and allows Smith to hit tops and steal the leg WRIGHT 0 SMITH 3

Wright starts 174, 140 but Smith's 4th maximum keeps him in charge and takes out 128 with barely an effort. WRIGHT 0 SMITH 4

First set of slack darts from Smith gives Wright a glimmer of hope. And for a man that likes a glimmer, Snakebite is happy to take it. 100 knocked off in 3 darts and he is on the board. WRIGHT 1 SMITH 4

Smith averaging 109 in the first 5 legs, a full 10 points clear of Wright. 2 trble 19's leave Smith a dart at x6 but he can't hit it. Wright is too far back though to take advantage and Smith makes no mistake with the second chance he is given. WRIGHT 1 SMITH 5
