Good morning live from the Doncaster press centre! @TimBonvilleGinn here covering both the men's and women's Tour de Yorkshire Stage 1! It's the gorgeous Beverley to the surprisingly nice Doncaster! 44km to go with 2 riders up in the break. They have a 1'17" gap.

The peloton seems happy enough at the moment. Christian and Van Gogh are the 2 riders up the road. Dani Rowe is the virtual leader at the moment after a good int sprint from her. Team GB and Boels Dolmains are working on the front at the moment in the peloton.

Now a bit of info about the finish. We come into Doncaster from the south eastern side up Bawtry Road and around using both sides, just after the 1km to go, about 800m from the line, they're squeezed into the left hand side for the final roundabout then onto Bennetthorpe for the finish outside Elmfield Park.

So the women have 38km to go. Boels Domains are sat in the front with no sign of Wiggle High5 yet, they have a strong team for the race with sprinter Kirsten Wild and climber Elisa Longo-Borghini along with lead out rider Katie Archibald!

Boels Dolmains is looking to attack on the crosswind! Surely the direction will change before it really works for them. Are they wasting energy here?

The crowd is starting to build very nicely at the finish. Absolutely gorgeous weather as Chantal Blaak, the world champion, comes to the front to work for Dideriksen and Guarnier. 33km to go, 1'30" gap.

Canyon SRAM and ALE Cippollini move to the front along with Wiggle High5 for the first time.

They've found a gorgeous route in the worse part of Yorkshire... I'm biased being from West Yorkshire. It looks like the pace is starting to fluctuate. Nobody really wants to hit out and pull the break back.

So I've now moved to the finish, 27km to go with a gap of 1'22", Christian is really pushing Van Gogh in the break.

Not a bad spot!
