Tour de Yorkshire 2018 Stage 4

Stedman has sat up and joined the chasing group behind. Cullaigh was caught by the peloton a while ago. Rossetto still powering along. We've got a hard headwind now. 86km to go, gap to Rossetto at 8'49" as Euskadi join the pacing with Astana.

Very interesting that Euskadi Murias has joined Astana. Obviously they have 3rd overall with Eduard Prades at 12" off Nielsen. 83km to go with a 8'20".

The chase group is really working well now. Rolling through and off. Some do look better than others though. 81km to go. 8'21" back to the peloton from Rossetto.

Hindley had a little dig then I think. Bookwalter wasn't happy with that. Bit of confusion. We're in Masham now. 77km to go. I believe the gaps are 5 mins to the chase from Rossetto and 8'43" to the peloton.

We're about 20km off Greenhow Hill. One of the last points of North Yorkshire before we head back into West Yorkshire again.

I want to just mention how amazing it was in the Piece Hall! Massive crowd. Didn't see any of the racing out of Halifax as I rushed to catch a train. It was an amazing feeling though to have the races final stage starting in my hometown. 70km to go, 8'35" gap.

Ligthart and Baylis attack the chase group. They're not confident for the Otley Chevin climb. Gap isn't really hanging at all. 64km to go.

Greenhow and Otley Chevin are the last 2 categorised climbs, but the ride up to the final intermediate sprint in Arthington is a pretty tough climb in itself. Not far from Greenhow now. Chavanel attacks hard! Davies pulls it back, couple of riders dropped, Stedman was one of them.

So its 60km to go and Chavanel goes again! This time he does get away! He's 1'16" don on Magnus Cort Nelsen. Right then, Dimension Data are now working in the peloton interestingly. That mst mean that Davies isn't feeling good.

Wow Bryan Coquard tried a move but Davies went over the top. Bookwalter marked that out. Gap is falling to Rossetto now.
