Hellloooo everyone, ready for some clay court action? It seems strange, but exciting, to have a clay final without Rafael Nadal, but these are the 2 men who battled through the field to make it this far, and 2 very deserving finalists they are. Play will be getting underway in around 20 minutes, and I am hoping for a real battle!

Zverev is the 2nd seed here, and Thiem is the 5th. Embarrassingly, I didn't know that; it seems like an AGE since I've been able to watch tennis.

Right, Sky have their montage on, so hopefully the players will be on court soon.

Greg Rusedski is going for a Zverev win, Annabel Croft goes for Thiem. As for me, I haven't a clue, and I'll be happy with either!

Here we go, players are warming up. Thiem will serve first.

Ready? Play.

Lovely rally to get us started off, both players settling in well, but Zverev fires a backhand long; 15-0. MASSIVE return from Zverev; 15-all. Good first serve from Thiem, but he sprays wide with the forehand; 15-30. Gaaaaah, same again. TWO BREAK POINTS.

Whoops, a double fault hands the break to Zverev.

Big serving from Zverev; 15-0. Thiem pushed way back, and his forehand bounces on the wrong side of the net; 30-0. Zverev fires long; 30-15. Thiem sends a slice backhand into the net; 40-15. Thiem goes long with a lob, and Zverev gets the hold.

Good serve from Thiem; 15-0. Thiem pushes Zverev back in the court, and he draws the error; 30-0. Ahhhh, fantastic backhand pass from Thiem; 40-0. Oooh, Zverev getting caught out by the net cord, and that's a very solid hold for Thiem.
