Man Utd

Good afternoon! It's only the bloody FA Cup Final! Chelsea take on Manchester United at Wembley Stadium, as both sides look to end underwhelming seasons on a high. I'm Joe Love, and the entirety of the game will be live right here, with kick off at 5:15.

Team news. Chelsea are missing Christensen, he's got a bad back. Giroud, as expected, gets the nod over Morata.

Lukaku is only fit enough for the bench as Man United go with Rashford up front. Wembley specialist Lingard gets the nod over Mata and Martial.

A few bits of admin. Extra time and penalties are, of course, a possibility. As is controversy, what with VAR being in operation. And shortly we will have some singing, Abide With Me and God Save the Queen due before kick off.

The sun is out over Wembley as Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard parade the cup onto the pitch. Banners are then raised, at either end of the pitch, in memory of Ray Wilkins, who tragically died last month.

Abide With Me now being sung by a choir of people in a random assortment of football shirts.

The teams march out of the Wembley tunnel, both sides in traditional home colours, Chelsea in blue, Manchester United in red.

Chelsea have seen off Norwich after a replay, Newcastle and Hull comfortably, Leicester after extra time before Southampton at Wembley in the semi finals. Manchester United cruised past Derby and Yeovil before beating Huddersfield and Brighton before Tottenham at Wembley to reach the final.

National anthem time. Belted out woefully out of time by all at Wembley Stadium. Good effort everybody.

Some planes have now flown over and finally the pitch can be cleared of singers and banners and musicians and soon we will be left with a few footballers, a referee, a ball and an FA Cup Final.
